Common questions about BookPulse, reading modes, AI feedback, analytics, billing, and privacy.
Every task in BookPulse is tagged with a Bloom's Taxonomy level, from Remember (basic recall) through Create (original composition). The Bloom's section in your class analytics shows a mastery score (0-10) for each level, calculated from AI feedback scores and auto-graded results across all students.
How to read the bars:
Task types by Bloom's level:
| Level | Task Types |
|---|---|
| Remember | Short Answer, Vocabulary |
| Understand | Self-Check, Text Evidence, Cause & Effect |
| Apply | Prediction, Drag & Drop |
| Analyze | Annotation, Character Motivation, Comparison, Quote Analysis |
| Evaluate | Debate, Theme Connection |
| Create | Written Response |

Each task in BookPulse is mapped to Common Core State Standards (CCSS). Teachers who use TEKS (Texas) or SOL (Virginia) frameworks can select their preferred standard in Class Settings — BookPulse automatically crosswalks CCSS codes to the equivalent TEKS or SOL standards.
The Standards Mastery section shows a bar for each standard, representing the percentage of students who have demonstrated proficiency. This helps you quickly identify which standards your class has covered well and where gaps remain.
See the Common Core State Standards for the full framework.
